Fun with Food

I hope everyone had a great Easter weekend!!!

We had a fun-filled morning of hunting eggs followed by a nice relaxing Sunday. And by relaxing, I mean a day full of telling the kids not to shoot the squirt guns in the house. Because the Easter Bunny thought squirt guns would be a great gift to throw in the kids baskets. I’m going to have to have a talk with that bunny.

And now it’s Monday and it’s back to school and work and all those fun things. So without further ado…here are some fun food finds from around the blogosphere.

1. I’m making this bread immediately. Like today. Because an entire tub of nutella rolled in dough and baked to sweet, doughy perfection is…well perfection.

2. This ice cream. Mmmmmm. I need an ice cream maker because I’m pretty sure I’m going to be making ALL THE ICE CREAM this summer.

3. And with all the ice cream that will be made, I’ll be eating tons of salads like this beauty. I’ve been craving this salad ever since I first saw the post and can’t wait to get some amazing tuna to make it.

4. I’m pretty sure this website is one of my new favs. I love…LOVE…cooking with beer. It adds a flavor to food that cannot be replicated by anything else. These tacos..I want them. Bad.

5. Speaking of tacos…I made these. Delicious. And easy. Super easy. 30 minute dinner. I think it might have been even faster to put together. If you like tacos or have taco night at home….make these.

For the Love of Dough

I have a love love relationship with bread. And pastries. And anything that involves dough.

I could eat it all day everyday. Seriously. When I make homemade bread…it’s gone very very quickly.

So I don’t usually make homemade bread, pastries, or anything with dough…But I let my love of dough get the best of me today. Not only did I make blueberry muffins (Mmmmm….blueberry muffins) I also made homemade ciabatta bread.

Ciabatta bread. It’s so yummy…and so good for paninis which is probably my favorite type of sandwich. Because bread is yummy, but crunchy bread is divine.

Here’s the recipe. It’s yummy. And the best part…it’s EASY.

Nom Nom Nom…ENJOY!
