Summer Reading-The Fault in our Stars

IMG_3908

One of the things I love to do during the summer is read. Outside. Most of the time, it soothes my soul. I say most because lately, I’m reading outside while 10ish kids ranging from age almost 2 to age 12, are running around playing like maniacs. Which…surprisingly enough…soothes my soul in a different way.

I had heard about this book from many, MANY, people. How amazing it was. So…I decided to find out for myself. I know I could have just gone and seen the movie but I always love the book versions of movies more than the movie versions of books. You can put so much more into a book, in my opinion, than a movie. And, typically, when I see a movie version of the book, I don’t compare it to the book because I know how different it’ll be. So I always choose book first.

And this book…it is perfect. I loved every second I read it and I read it in 1.5 days. I laughed and I cried. I fell in love with the characters and the ending? Oh gosh. It was perfect.

So, OF COURSE, I highly recommend you read the book. And, OF COURSE, I highly recommend you read the book before you see the movie.

And…if anyone out there has some good book recommendations for me…let me know. I love reading just about anything. Or I’ll at least try reading just about anything.

  1. Eleanor Morton says:

Ellen said her granddaughter read the book and then
went to the movie. They were exactly the same.
